Swine Flu Procedures

Recommendations from CT DEMHS - CT DPH to the State's First Responder Community regarding Swine Flu Procedures

The CT Departments of Public Health and Emergency Management and Homeland Security recommend the following procedures regarding Swine Flu at this time to all of the state's first responders:

*    Maintain your universal precautions procedures, including reviewing your protocols and guidelines;
*    In the event of a suspected case of swine flu, follow the attached guidance from the national Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).  The full CDC site is at:  http://www.cdc.gov/swineflu/guidelines_infection_control.htm

The CT DPH has put out Talking Points to be shared with the 211 Infoline.  These Talking Points are also attached to this email in order to provide further current information.
