REMINDER – Should a member or family member be required to obtain a Prescription Drug from their attending physician, and the doctor or member specifically wants the “brand” name prescription rather than the generic brand prescription, you must be sure that your physician specifically indicates on the prescription “DISPENSE AS WRITTEN”; this way your only cost would be the $15.00 co-pay, if “dispense as written” is not indicated on the prescription, the pharmacy is permitted to dispense a “generic” brand (if available),  should you than insist on the “brand name” you will be required to pay the co-pay and the difference between the “brand name prescription” and the “generic name prescription.
