Roll Call

Chairman Michael Finn called the meeting to order. In attendance were Commissioner Geraldine George, Chief Examiner John Whitcomb and Robin Edwards form Corporation Counsel.

Minutes of May 10, 2006 Meeting and Minutes of Special Meeting May 31, 2006

Commissioner George made a motion to accept the previous meetings’ minutes. Chairman Finn seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.

NEW BUSINESS:

Appeal Town Clerk Applicant

Chairman Finn directed that the test results be calculated. The chief examiner confidentially advised the appellant of the test outcome. The concerns of the appellant were discussed. At the end of the discussion, the appellant indicated that he was satisfied.

Certify Assistant Town Clerk List

Commissioner George made a motion to certify the Assistant Town Clerk list and forward it to the Mayor. Chairman Finn seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.

Certify Deputy Personnel Director List

Commissioner George made a motion to certify the Deputy Personnel Director list and forward it to the Mayor. Chairman Finn seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.

Certify City Engineer List

Commissioner George made a motion to certify the City Engineer and forward it to the Mayor. Chairman Finn seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.

Review Applications for the position of Assistant Zoning Enforcement Officer

Commissioner George made a motion to accept the following applications for the position of Assistant Zoning Enforcement Officer: 601, 602, 603, 604, 605, 606, 607, 608, 610, 611, 612, 613, 614, 615, 616, 617, 618, 619, 620, and 621. Application 609 was rejected due to lack or requirements. Chairman Finn seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.

Review Applications for the position of Tax Collector

Commissioner George made a motion to accept the following applications for the position of Tax Collector: 501, 502, 504, 505, 506, 507, 508, 509, 510, 511, 512, 513, 515, 516, 517, 518, 519, 520, 521, 522, 523, 524, 525, 526, 527, 528, 529, 533, 534, 535, 536, 537, 538, 539, 540, 541, 542, 545, 547, 548, 549, 550, 551, and 552. The following applications were rejected do to lack of requirements: 503, 514, 530, 531, 532, 543, 544, and 546. Chairman Finn seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
