Legislative Update #2 – February 24, 2006

Attached is the second update for the 2006 legislative session. Please note that I have boxed in H.B.5284. We have not taken a stand on this as of yet but we are watching it because it pertains to the volunteer issue that we had last year. Any bill that is not marked support or oppose we have not taken an official stand on as of yet but are tracking the bills to monitor what actions may have to be taken in the future. Also for Local Presidents if you need a hard copy of the updates please notify me that you want one. If I don’t hear from you I will assume that the electronic copy is sufficient. Just another reminder things will move fast because of the short session. When requested please make those phone calls to legislators and provide me any feed back that you receive. I can’t stress enough how important this is. Once again if anyone has trouble opening this please let me know. Click Here To View Legislative Update #2
