Chairman Michael Finn called the meeting to order. In attendance were Commissioner Geraldine George, Chief Examiner John Whitcomb, Fire Chief Peter Siecienski, Karen Rodgers, and 2 employees from the Tax Collector’s office Jackie Dupont and Lisa Antous,

Minutes of June 14, 2006 Meeting

Commissioner George made a motion to accept the previous meeting’s minutes. Chairman Finn seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.

NEW BUSINESS:

Tax Collector Test

Chairman Finn informed the appellant the she would receive a correspondence within the next week notifying her of a decision as to whether her test would be considered for grading. At the end of the discussion, the appellant indicated that she was satisfied.

The Chief Examiner notified the Commission that by the next meeting the Tax Collector List be presented for certification.

Review Qualifications for Fire Dispatcher Candidates

Commissioner George made a motion to allow the one candidate go on to the State school and that his appointment would be contingent on his successful completion of the State Dispatcher test and interviewing process. Chairman Finn seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.

Review Qualifications for Coordinator of Library Automation Candidates

Commissioner George made a motion accept applicants 2 and 3 and applicant 1 would be rejected due to lack of experience; number of years of experience not met. Chairman Finn seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.

Review Qualifications for the Superintendent of Apparatus Candidates

Commissioner George made a motion to accept applicant 2 and that applicants 1 and 3 be rejected due to lack of experience; no heavy duty experience. Chairman Finn seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.

Eligibility List Extension

Commissioner George made a motion to extend the Accountant eligibility list for another year. Chairman Finn seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.

Commissioner George made a motion to extend the Fire Lieutenant eligibility list for another year. Chairman Finn seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.

New Job Descriptions:

Commissioner George made a motion to accept the following job description; Assistant Airport Administrator, Coordinator of Elderly Services, and Librarian I. Chairman Finn seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
