Re:                  Portable Radios – Speaker Microphone

Lt. William Lounsbury, a member of the Union’s Health & Safety Committee has discussed a potential problem with our portable radios with the Communications Supervisor, Patrick Sniffin. 

It appears that when the “speaker mic” exposed to moisture, the speaker Volume is severely diminished, which may result in problems for personnel operating at an incident.

Therefore, in order for the Health & Safety Committee and Pat’s Office to properly address this issue, the committee requests that anyone experiencing this type of problem should document the incident and forward it on to the Communications Supervisor, Pat Sniffin; along with a copy to the Union’s Health & Safety Committee.
